Do No Harm Lucy Hay. Blog tour review.

Till death do us part…

After leaving her marriage to jealous, possessive oncologist Maxwell, Lily and her six-year-old son have a second chance at happiness with headteacher Sebastian. Kind but vulnerable, Sebastian is the polar opposite of Maxwell, and the perfect match for Lily. After a whirlwind romance, they marry, and that’s when things start to go wrong…
Maxwell returns to the scene, determined to win back his family, and events soon spiral out of control. Lily and Sebastian find themselves not only fighting for their relationship, but also their lives…

Do No Harm is a tense and clever piece of domestic noir from Lucy Hay, a twisted and dark tale of family and obsession.

Into her second marriage, having escaped a controlling first, Lily hopes for a new start, however someone seems determined to ruin the happy new couple.

The author racks up the tension as strange and unpredictable issues keep popping up for Lily and Sebastian. Hovering in the background is ex Maxwell, a man on the edge, themes of control and obsessive natures run throughout the narrative and the writing has a sharp and unpredictable edge.

Overall a really good page turner of a read, one of those you devour in one sitting, easily stealing an afternoon of your life. Beware!

Recommended.
