Latest Reads: Renegade Rob Sinclair.

He’s back and better than ever.
James Ryker, a veteran intelligence agent now freelancer, working for the secretive Joint Intelligence agency on an op-by-op basis, finds himself embroiled in a complicated mission that will test him to his limit.

When a simple surveillance mission goes awry and the key target is kidnapped in broad daylight in a busy London square, Ryker knows he has his work cut out.

Ryker is tasked with figuring out what went wrong. But when his good friend Sam Moreno disappears without a trace, the mission becomes more personal than he could have imagined.

Torn between toeing the government line, and finding the answers he needs, Ryker realises there’s only one way to find those responsible and to punish them… His way.

Blimey it’s really good to have Ryket back again, like greeting an old friend after a while apart. Not sure I’d necessarily want him as a friend though, a tiny bit dangerous to say the least.

Rob Sinclair is a terrific thriller writer, so immersive and always addictive, he writes the kind of page turners that really engage. Ryker as a character is intriguingly compelling always and it’s no different here.

Trying to find answers after a surveillance operation goes wrong, the hunt for clues soon turns personal for our favourite intelligence operator, as usual from then on in he follows his own path towards a great finale.

I read it fast, a bit like the excellent plot and overall this was a great read once again. Bring on more Ryker is what I say.

Easily read as a standalone this might be a good kicking off point for new readers and will certainly be more than satisfying for already fans.
