The Lies We Tell Niki Mackay. Blog tour review.

Last night I betrayed my husband.

This morning my daughter disappeared.

My husband may have forgiven my first mistake. But he will never forget this.

And so I have to find her.

Before it’s too late. For all of us.

I loved “I, Witness” the first book to feature Madison Attallee so I was keen to dive into The Lies We Tell, then of course I ended up reading it all in one go.

I liked the way the narrative flowed as we heard from Miriam, who has made a massive error in judgment and lost her daughter, and Madison as she tries to untangle a twisted web of deceit.

Niki Mackay is a clever plotter and manages all the levels of the drama with an intelligent eye towards obfuscation, keeping it unpredictable and highly addictive.

Madison grows as a character here, adding bits and pieces to her story and that of her tight knit group but the focus is firmly on Miriam’s story which is really compelling and raises some thought provoking issues.

All in all another great read from this author. Roll on the next.

Recommended.
