This book was massively entertaining, surprisingly so actually, it just sucked me into this colourful, totally insane, brilliantly described world and held me there enthralled throughout.
Urban fantasy set vividly within Lagos and featuring an edgy and engaging main protagonist in David Mogo, whose mission is clear even as his way of achieving it is rather mad. Magic and mayhem, God’s and monsters and a twisty, compelling and thoroughly enjoyable storyline.
I’ll never know how authors come up with such brilliantly imaginative scenarios then manage to write the hell out of them (or, you know, into them) but as long as they keep on doing it I don’t suppose it matters.
