The Last Stage Louise Voss. Blog tour review.

At the peak of her career as lead singer of a legendary 1980s indie band, Meredith Vincent was driven off the international stage by a horrific incident. Now living a quiet existence in a cottage on the grounds of an old stately home, she has put her past behind her and come to terms with her new life.

When a body is found in the manicured gardens of her home, and a series of inexplicable and unsettling events begins to occur, it becomes clear that someone is watching, someone who knows who she is … Someone who wants vengeance.

And this is only the beginning…

This is a tense and atmospheric psychological thriller from Louise Voss, with a particularly clever sense of place and a lovely twisty mystery that is great to read.

I like how this author forms characters, always making them hugely realistic and giving you a love/hate relationship with them that keeps you turning the pages.

The Last Stage has an off kilter feel and often creepy sense to it, not easily predicted and therefore highly addictive. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed it and if you are a fan of psychological thrillers that are genuinely well written and plotted this will definitely be for you.

Recommended.
